Frontier Bundles is offering the prize and a few other goodies to someone that can trade their smartphone for a flip phone for one whole week. The company is doing this to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first flip phone (the Motorola MicroTAC).

Most of us couldn't live without our smartphones, but could you do it for $1,000? "They'll be organized, detail-oriented, and willing to persevere".

That's the question one technology company is asking and it's looking for the right person who wants to make the exchange.

The ideal candidates are "smartphone addicts, social media experts and tech geeks", the company said, and "bonus points go to applicants who have an active social presence or are willing to vlog their experience". You must be 18 or older and a U.S. Citizen to be considered. If you're chosen, you'll have to use the flip phone for a week and log the experience.

In return, participants will get $1,000, a physical map (since you won't have GPS), a phone book, a note pad and pen and a collection of swanky 1990 CDs.

All you have to do is explain, in 100 to 200 words, why you're the flawless person for the social experiment.
