Kevin Durant Finally Practices With Team, Extending Hope For "Angst-Ridden" Warriors

Kevin Durant's injury during the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors put a damper on the Golden State Warriors' chance of winning the series, putting them down 3-1.

The Warriors are listing Durant, who has been sidelined for more than a month with a strained calf, as a "game-time decision" for Game 5 although ESPN reported that the 30-year-old intends to play.

The Toronto Raptors can lock down their first National Basketball Association title with a win at home on Monday. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr told reporters on Sunday that Durant would, indeed, practice and that could be enough to get him back on the court on Monday night.

Kerr was asked if he had any reservations about Durant's ability if he is ultimately cleared to play in Game 5 of the finals.

Pop singer Alessia Cara fared better in Game 2 when she paused her a capella performance mid-song to let Raptors fans take the spotlight and largely sing the rest.

"You worry about the conditioning", Kerr said. Monte Poole of NBC Sports reports Kevin Durant is expected to be a "full go" for Monday's matchup. According to The Athletic's Sam Amick, Durant's absence is a cause for disruption within the Warriors' locker room.
