Official: Manchester United confirm Daniel James deal

Manchester United "don't need" Daniel James but he will be a player for the future, according to Steve Nicol.

Monaco, Everton and Leicester had shown interest in the youngster but James had his heart set on a move to United.

Manchester United are expect to fully confirm the signing of James next week when the global transfer window opens.

Although, Manchester united have not revealed the official amount of the transfer, but it is reported to be near £15 million as reported earlier.

The Welshman's move will be confirmed when FIFA's global transfer window opens next week.

"Daniel has successfully completed a medical at the Aon Training Complex", said a statement from Manchester United.

He came within a whisker of joining earlier this year, and his impact might just have helped them back into the Premier League.

It is understood the 21-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the Old Trafford giants and has become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first addition since his arrival as manager in December 2018.
