Asus ROG Phone 2 launch date confirmed as July 23

The first Asus Rog Phone was launched a year ago in June 2018. Turns out we were right after all.

Since the ROG Phone was popular, Asus will indeed release the ROG Phone 2 which will please numerous gaming fans out there. ASUS, it seems, has started sending out invites for the launch event to the press and media outlets in China.

Asus has confirmed the launch date on the Chinese microblogging website, Weibo.

Now, let's take a closer look at the specifications and other aspects of the ASUS ROG Phone 2. The Asus ROG Phone 2 phone will be the successor of the ROG phone.

While the company has not revealed any details about the upcoming gaming smartphone, Asus ROG Phone 2 is rumored to come with an improved display as well as a powerful processor.

We know that the ROG lineup from Asus has become a huge hit in the industry since it was launched past year. According to Asus, the screen will allow for a "more refreshing experience" in games that are optimized for screens with super-high refresh rates.

Official specs for the phone is not out as of now but speculations say that the phone might feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, 10GB or 12GB of RAM along with 512GB of internal memory. However, it remains to be seen if the old accessories designed for the first-gen ROG phone would also work on the upcoming Asus ROG Phone 2.

The Asus gaming phone had a dual rear camera setup of a 12MP primary wide sensor having f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP secondary ultrawide sensor.

That's the only rumor we've heard about the smartphone so far, but we'd expect it to have all the unique features of the original device, like 30W fast-charge, an AMOLED screen, and gaming specific mode.
