Bollywood star Akshay Kumar bags a spot in the annual Forbes Celebrity 100 list, topped by American singing superstar Taylor Swift.

According to USA reports, Swift, 29, minted millions from her "Reputation Stadium" tour in 2018, as well as Netflix's streaming of the tour, and her new deal at Republic Records. With earnings of $65 million, Kumar occupied the 33 place in the list. It culminated in the New Year's Eve debut of a concert film on Netflix.

A significant chunk of Akshay's earnings also come from his brand endorsements.

Despite a few highly publicized feuds this year, Taylor Swift is laughing all the way to the bank.

Forbes' estimated the pre-tax earnings from June'18-June'19 to compile the list and declared that the world's 100 highest paid celebrities pulled in $6.3bn pretax over the past year. In 2018, Salman was on the 82nd spot on the list, with earnings of 37.7 million United States dollars ie, Rs 257 crore.

Kylie Jenner comes in at second position, with the world's youngest self-made billionaire earning an estimated US$170 million past year.

Other celebrities on the list include beauty mogul, Kylie Jenner leading the list at No. 2 with estimated earnings of Dollars 170 million and Kanye West who stood at No.3 with earning over USD 150 million.

The top 10 on the list featured four musicians, four athletes, a television personality and a reality star turned makeup mogul.

The 51-year-old actor has had a blockbuster 2018-2019. Her brother-in-law Kanye West clocks in at No. 3, with earnings of $150 million past year.

In third place is Kanye West, who can thank his footwear empire Yeezy for his fortune.

Swift earned much of that money from touring.
