Now more than ever, DeMarcus Cousins is ready to show his doubters that he can still play at a high level and stay healthy while doing so.

It was the biggest question of the offseason: Will Davis stay with the Pelicans, or will New Orleans grant his trade request?

The pair played together for the Pelicans for part of two seasons after Cousins was traded to New Orleans from Sacramento in 2017. The Lakers acquired the six-time All-Star in exchange for Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, Brandon Ingram and three first-round picks. "But anytime as a general manager when you have superstars on your team, especially guys that have the basketball IQ and just the understanding of the game that Anthony Davis and LeBron have, of course, you are going to be tapping into them as partners".

"I think it was between [the Clippers] and going back [to Toronto]", Green said on a conference call.

"I think the greatest teacher in life for all of us is experience", Pelinka said. And even if it did happen, I don't think they had room for me there [in Toronto]. "I had no idea where he was going", Green said, according to TSN. "And so me being a 26-year-old I went straight to Instagram and that's when I saw it".

Whether or not he will change back to No. 23 following the 2019-20 season remains to be seen, but if he and the Lakers have enough success this year, he could very well elect to stick with what worked.

The NBA's best two-way player signed a three-year deal with the Clippers. I'm excited about it.

This is a team that cannot only rim protect and clean up the glass but can stretch the floor with the best of them. In 2018, for the first time in his career, we saw him miss an extended amount of time, only playing 55 games. The Lakers were also able to re-sign Rajon Rondo, JaVale McGee and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

"I'll put our roster up against anybody", Davis told the media.

While recently, news that LeBron could be making a positional switch to point guard came to light, head coach Frank Vogel shot down the notion that anything had already been decided so far out from the start of the season. He returns to the Lakers after averaging 9.2 points and 8.0 assists per game with Los Angeles previous year.
