As always, the general public gets to experience Melania Trump's big Christmas unveiling via a video in which the famously private and taciturn first lady walks through whatever Calvin Klein commercial is playing in her mind and silently appraises random ornaments, wreaths, and origami stars hanging from the ceiling.
Melania Trump is celebrating American patriotism at the White House this Christmas, incorporating red and blue into the traditional holiday green, adding a timeline of American design, innovation and architecture and studding a Christmas tree with her family's annual ornament, the American flag. "I am delighted to share this attractive exhibit of patriotism for all to see, and excited for everyone to experience the beauty of the Christmas season!"
The first lady tweeted a short video of herself admiring the decorations and applying some finishing touches as she strolled around the White House.
" "The Spirit of America" is shining in the White House!"
The State Apartments at Windsor Castle are decorated with Christmas trees. Trump wrote, referencing this year's theme.

Displayed on the iconic eagle pier table in the State Dining room, the Gingerbread House features the South Portico of the White House and landmarks from across the country, including the Golden Gate Bridge, Space Needle, Mount Rushmore, the Alamo, Gateway Arch, Liberty Bell and the Statue of Liberty, according to the White House news release.
More than 225 volunteers flew in from around the country to help decorate the White House during Thanksgiving weekend. The tree is decorated with handmade paper flowers representing each state and territory.
