Gabrielle Union introduces Zaya, Dwyane Wade’s transgender daughter

"Love and light good people", Union wrote.

Union also tweeted out a video of the younger Wade speaking about the issue with her father.

The second time came this week when Wade came out in support of his 12-year-old being transgender and wanting to be called "Zara". I want to be referenced as she and her, I would love for you guys to call me Zaya, ' " Wade shared.

Casually discussing her dysphoria with her father, Zaya asks: "What's the point in being on this Earth if you're going to try to be someone you're not? I don't care what they think Z, you are my best friend and I love you kid, and if it means anything, just know there's no love lost on this side".

"Yeah, I know that it can get tough, definitely, but I think you push through and be the best you", Zaya replied.

"Zion, born as a boy, came home and said, "Hey, so I want to talk to you guys".

We're SO proud of you, Zaya!

"Me and my wife, my wife Gabrielle Union...we are proud parents of a child in the LGBTQ+ community and we're proud allies as well", he told host Ellen DeGeneres on Tuesday's "Ellen".

Zaire and Zaya Wade are Dwyane Wade's children from a previous relationship. "When you look in the mirror and say "hi" to yourself".

"We take our roles and our responsibility as parents very seriously", he explained. "My wife reached out to everybody on the cast of 'Pose, '" Wade said, referring to the FX drama series centered around black and latino LGBTQ characters.

This important moment for Wade's family proved to be too much for former National Football League running back Larry Johnson, who has taken issue with Wade in the past, and is well-known for spouting bathsit insane nonsense on social media about the Illuminati, the occult, the National Football League and NBA's "effeminate agenda" that is being pushed, and anything else that pops into his not at all CTE-damaged head. "We just tried to figure out as much information as we can to make sure we give our child the best opportunity to be her best self". "The rest of life is a whole other story, but at least she's got that, and, a supportive [step] mother and father!"
