CFB Comox has issued a public advisory concerning a Cormorant helicopter that will be flying between 500 and 1,000 feet on Friday, Jan. 6 as part of a routine test of airfield navigational aids at 19 Wing Comox.

"Residents in the vicinity of 19 Wing airfield can expect to see, and hear the helicopter performing various low level flight manoeuvres from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., weather permitting," advised Lt. Trevor Reid with 19 Wing Comox Public Affairs.

Lt. Reid says low level flying will create noise in the area, and the base wants to thank residents for their patience, and understanding while crews carry out the testing on Friday.
