The Comox Valley's local group of Soroptomists have donated $996 to the RCMP's DARE program.

"This ongoing and very generous support helps provide supplies for some of the grade five and six students receiving Drug Awareness Resistance Education in the Comox Valley," said Constable Nicole Hall. "The local RCMP donate their time through delivery of the class, the school district allows us access to the classrooms and the teachers welcome us into their classrooms as a guest."

Financial costs are solely covered through donations made by the community.

Individual packages cost $12 and include an instruction book, a name card, a pencil, a bookmark, a completion certificate and a t-shirt which many kids wear proudly around our community for years afterwards.
