Holiday travel can be stressful.
Comox Airport's Cristianne Wile, has provided tips that will help you fly through the usual holiday travel traps.
"We are expecting to see a significant increase in terminal traffic beginning around the third week of December and continuing into the first week of the New Year."
To avoid any turbulence at the airport Wile suggested this 8 steps:
1. Check out YQQ's holiday hours.
2. Arrive to the airport early.
3. Plan for parking.
4. Investigate check-in options.
5. Know your baggage requirements.
6. Help keep security moving.
7. Transport gifts appropriately.
8. Be patient.
Wile explained the airport will be busy, 1,350 passengers are expected to pass through YQQ daily.
"All of our airlines are offering flights on Christmas , but there are changes to our regularly scheduled flights throughout the holiday travel season. We encourage all of our guests to check our website for up to date information on arrivals and departures, as well as the terminal operating hours."
The most important thing to remember, stay grounded, don't fly off into a tizzy if things don't take off the way you hope. Relief may be delayed, but will be arriving soon via the smiling faces of the ones your traveling to see.
